Join us for a fun and expressive Friday afternoon. The workshop will be divided into two parts; Art Therapy followed by a sunset Yoga session by the beach.

Body movements and drawings are simply part of the human instinct to communicate and express ourselves. They are not only a great way to create something beautiful, but they are also a fantastic and creative way for relieving stress, enhancing creativity, developing problem-solving abilities, building leadership and social skills.

Art therapy helps people express those thoughts, emotions, and experiences that may be difficult to speak about, those things that keep us from growing in a positive way. It is a form of psychotherapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawing, or modeling.

The yoga session will be held at the beach during the beautiful sunset of Abu Dhabi. This therapeutic session will consist of opening yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health in a fun and relaxing way. The art of yoga allows a person to express his/her feelings through specific poses.

Meet our beautiful Art Therapist, Fay Sherwood. Fay has a Masters Degree with a major in Marriage and Family Therapy where she paid special attention to additional classes and seminars on Art therapy, Play therapy and Sand Tray therapy. Her knowledge of the arts was very helpful in the healing process while working with at risk families, children and teens for the 20 years she worked as a Family Therapist in various settings and locations.
